Rustic home decor of 12 spring flowers over amusing anecdotes The collection is composed of twelve diminutive botanical studies from our extensive archives of spring flowers. The background papers are antiqued and embellished with sepia writing depicting favorite anecdotes about each variety. The many varied ways of hanging the botanicals are as essential to the art as the image itself. Hang the twelve in a square over the sofa, in a vertical line on a narrow wall or as a frieze along the hallway. There is a secret to hanging 12 rustic home accents that only an experienced in home decorating can teach. The secret centers on the following: The frames are handmade, therefore not all identical in size. The wall hook is attached to the back of a frame by hand, therefore, not always located in the exact same place on each art piece. If you could see how a craftsperson in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, does this collection, you would immediately understand. What you would see is a diminutive lady in a white cap holding the frame to her window light, taking a wall hook, turning her head slightly to judge distance, and finally, nailing the hook in the back of the frame in the general central area. Now for the secret revealed to this garden decor hanging: Decide on your layout on the floor. Take a piece of paper (now called template) and mark the size of one of the prints with frame included. Punch a hole where the hook is. Add the 1 - 3 inches between each art piece. Start on the wall at a corner and seat the first garden decor print. Take this next garden decor print and measure, particularly the back location for hook, and mark that spot. Take the template and center it for the next hole in your series. And so on until all 12 prints are hung. The template, after checking with each print, becomes the method for the location of the wall hook. If you attempt to symmetrically measure in inches and angles, you will triple the nail holes in your wall.
